Vimeo

VIMEO is a video-sharing website on which users can upload, share, and view videos. It was founded by Zach Klein and Jake Lodwick in November 2004. The name Vimeo was created by co-founder Jake Lodwick and is a play on the word video, inserting the word "me" as a reference to the site's exclusive dedication to user-made video, and is also an anagram of "movie." Unlike You Tube ,Vimeo does not allow gaming videos, pornography, or anything not created by the user to be hosted on the site.

The only disadvantage to Vimeo (that I can see at this point) is that if you want to get your video seen by most people, Vimeo is not the site to go to. Youtube is the internets second largest search engine.

It’s true, if you’re trying to optimize videos for Google universal search, Google will show videos from Vimeo as well as videos from YouTube in its results. Of course, there are significantly more videos uploaded to YouTube, which is why Google tends to display significantly more YouTube videos in universal search results.
