Commissioned by Channel 4 broadcasting, one of only five terrestrial networks in the UK, More4 forms a major part of the broadcasters portfolio of digital channels alongside E4 and Film 4.

Seeking a slightly older demographic than Channel 4, More4 was conceived as its smarter, wittier, older brother. Our graphic approach, with its uncompromising numeral and sock in the eye colour scheme is entirely in tune with the provocative political satire, hard hitting documentaries and fresh independent films that form the backbone of the channels offer.

The incredible viewing figures on More4’s opening night make it the most successful launch of any digital channel in the UK and it continues to perform strongly in a very competitive market.

The dominant aspect of the identity is the numeral, made up from four lozenges, which grow sequentially to form the ‘4’. This sense of growth alludes to ‘more’, and in common with the main channel and E4, its abstract nature challenges the viewer. Integrating ‘More’ and ‘4’ into a single solid unit the way we have means ‘more’ is read first. The fluorescent green gives the identity a distinct, contemporary edge.

Keeping with the sense of growth, this ident depicts a book of stories. Again, with the pages flicking like a book should it alludes the idea of "more" The book flicks through pages just like a book would and reveals the title and date of the programming.
