New Alphabet

New Alphabet is a geometric typeface designed by Wim Crouwel, released in 1967.
The reason why this relates to the arctitecture brief is the fact that it reflects the ideology of form follows function. Wim was disgusted with a digital form of Garamond, because when the point size increased, the curves of the font became pixelated. He designed this typeface using 90 degree angular lines with the whitespace that balances the letters.
